10 years of experience in the field of Internet consumer products in a variety of roles ranging from development, project management, strategy and business development.

Over the last 3 years, I have had the opportunity to manage from ground up, several technically innovative projects in collaboration with companies such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Yandex, Amazon, eBay, Schibsted, In emerging markets, I have successfully delivered on cobrand partner projects with Micromax, Samsung, Karbonn, Airtel, MTN, Telenor, Telkomsel, IDEA, Aircel, Indosat and several other OEMs/Mobile Operators. Many of these projects are currently live and in market.

I am able to use my engineering background and passion for consumer technology to identify opportunities within my portfolio. I work closely with Strategy and engineering teams to convert these opportunities into real products and features that grow Opera’s strategic partnerships across Operators and OEMs and ultimately benefit the consumer.


Opera Software - 2013 . Current

I manage several of Opera's most valuable partnerships, and look out for new opportunities across all of Opera's Desktop and Mobile consumer products with 350million monthly active users worldwide. I manage the search deployment of Google across all Opera products. I was responsible for Google Free Zone projects on Opera Mini across South East Asia and India. I am also responsible for launches on Opera Mini in Emerging markets.

Opera Software - 2011 . 2013

I moved away from a desk job to take on the emerging markets and spent my time with OEMs (Micromax, Samsung, Karbonn, LG, etc), Mobile Operators (Airtel, IDEA, Aircel, Tata Docomo, Telenor, Vodafone, Dialog, Banglalink, Robi, Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, TimorTelecom, MTS, Vimpelcom, etc) and Content Partners (Nazara, OLX, CricBuzz, Rakuten, Rambler, Jalan and several others). Prior engineering knowledge was critical in helping find the right tool for the job as this was a hands on role where 'getting it done' was the goal

Opera Software - 2010 . 2011

To have a longer term impact I chose a strategic role. The job required analysing the direction of browser based extensions and developing an API for the Opera Browser(s). I built the first Extensions API for the Opera Desktop Browser with a cross company team ranging from native code developers to web development engineers to developer relations, and took it to market.

Opera Software - 2009 . 2010

I led a team of four and managed a cross company project that spanned several departments and delivered multiple JS libraries, and applications for File, Photo, Music and Video Sharing. Our team was at the forefront of bleeding edge of web technologies. In this role I gained insights into SOWs, delivery processes, and a healthy number of difficult situations and tough decisions.

I worked as a frontend web developer delivering applications for Mobile, Desktop and TV. I focused on getting the job done, with an emphasis on process and delivery.
